ITPI Launches Consulting Co-Op

New membership program targets IT consultants and service providers

Eugene, Or, February 15, 2011 – The IT Process Institute (ITPI) today announced the Consulting Co-Operative (Consulting Co-Op). The new program gives independent consultants access to ITPI research, data and benchmarking tools. Members of the Consulting Co-Op can now use ITPI’s evidence-based products to offer stand-alone benchmarking services or to enhance their existing service offering. The ITPI also gives members use rights to co-brand sales literature, white papers and presentations as well.

"We are increasingly finding that IT executives want hard data to help identify opportunities for improvement and quantify the expected results of process improvement efforts,” says Kurt Milne, Managing Director of the ITPI. "This new program gives independent consultants data-centric tools that are normally only offered by national or global consultancies.”

Annual membership costs vary based on number of consultants employed, ranging from only $500 for small firms of 10 or fewer full-time consultants up to $5,000 for large firms with more than 25 full-time consultants. Brian Uhelski, Director of Sales and Marketing for the ITPI, oversees the program. "We didn’t want the cost of membership to be an issue because we recognize the long-term value for us and our members comes from the utilization of our research,” he stated. "Our tools have been used by consultants with over 50 different clients. A program that allows more consultants access to our proven tools helps increase the number IT organizations that identify improvement opportunities.”

Co-Op members are selected based upon a number of criteria including areas of specialization, geographic location and number of years in the business. Applications for the program are being accepted at the ITPI website. Interested organizations of all sizes may apply on the ITPI website at www.itpi.org. Applications can be found under the "ITPI Memberships” tab.
